Split: A Movie Review

Last week I went to the movie theatre to see the new movie, Split. I had heard a lot of good reviews about it so I wanted to check it out for myself. The director, M. Night Shyamalan is known for his simultaneous stories and inevitable twists. He was also the director of the well known thriller The Sixth Sense. The cast was well picked for their roles. Actor James McAvoy perfectly portrayed his character as the kidnapper. He was not only just a man, but a man with multiple personality disorder. To be specific, 23 different personalities. He played everyone from a little boy to a woman to even a beast.

The beginning was a little slow, but it showed the backstory as to how and why the girls walked into the car, unknowing that their kidnapper was inside. But once we hit the climax, at that point it was action packed and full of plot twists. There were even a few flashbacks to explain how Kevin led his life. A few of the girls, who were taken captive, started to catch on to his multiple personalities and they tried to play it to their advantage to escape. That's as far as I’ll explain the plot[1]  because I really feel like everyone needs to see this movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes thrillers, you will be at the edge of your seat until the end.  Do they live? Do they ever escape? Find out by watching this movie at your local theatre to figure out the answers to these questions! You will not believe the storyline.
